EXPERIENCE
Gaye has worked at the University of South Carolina for 16 years and also serves as chair of the Quality Improvement Committee. Her unofficial title is "entertainment director" as she organizes group activities and writes the skits/poems for various events. Previous work experience includes 15 years of emergency room nursing both in Columbia and Vermont. She also served as the occupational health nurse for the Strom Thurmond Federal Building here in Columbia and with the Richland Family Practice Center. Gaye has previously volunteered with the Red Cross as a CPR instructor and in Disaster Services. One of her favorite professional joys is working with nurse practitioner students and she has precepted over 50 students in the USC program.
